  1. What is the minimum attendance requirement for students?

Students in beginner or intermediate levels must attend at least two sessions per week to ensure steady progress.

  1. How should parents support their child’s learning?

Parents are expected to:

  • Monitor homework completion.
  • Ensure their child follows the teacher’s instructions.
  • Occasionally sit with their child or print worksheets if requested.
    Parental support is especially important for young beginners.
  1. Are there special rules when the teacher is a female?

Yes. For the privacy of female teachers:

  • Students must wear earphones or headphones if a non-mahram male is nearby.
  • Male guardians should not sit in on online sessions with female teachers.
  1. Do teachers provide demo classes?

No. The first class is paid. Students must complete a full month before requesting to switch teachers.

  1. Are classes recorded?

Occasionally, sessions may be recorded for internal training purposes only. If you have concerns, contact the coordinator, Sr. Zainab Ghannawi.

  1. What happens if a student misses a class?
  • The teacher will try to contact the student or parent.
  • If there is no response, the teacher will wait 15 minutes before ending the class.
  • The student will still be charged for this class.
  1. Can I reschedule a class if I know I’ll be absent?

Yes. Notify the teacher by phone, email, or text at least one day in advance.

  • Make-up sessions must be completed within the same month.
  • Please note, we are still open on statutory holidays and classes are running regularly so please inform your teacher if you are going to be absent.
  1. What if I miss a class without notifying the teacher?

Unnotified absences are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

  1. When and how should I pay the monthly Quran fees (hadiya)?
  • Fees must be paid in advance, during the first week of the month.
  • Payments should be made with the intention (Niyyah) of hadiya for Quran instruction.
  1. How are fees calculated?

Teachers maintain attendance records for fee calculation. Students/parents should cross-check totals with the teacher to avoid errors.

  1. What payment methods are accepted?
  • Within Canada: Interac e-Transfers.
  • Outside Canada: PayPal (select “Friends and Family” to avoid fees).
    **Any additional charges are the responsibility of the student.
  1. What if there are internet or technical issues during a class?
  • Extra time is not automatically granted.
  • Teachers will try to maintain stable connections and may offer make-up time at their discretion.
  1. How do I discontinue classes?
  • Provide a one-month notice to both your teacher and the coordinator.
  • If payment for a new month has already been made, the student must complete that month.
  1. Can my teacher terminate my registration?

Yes. A teacher may end your classes (with admin consent) if you:
a) Repeatedly miss classes without notice.
b) Show no interest or engagement.
c) Frequently come unprepared or regress in learning.
d) Display rude or disrespectful behavior toward the teacher.

  1. Policy Changes

Policies may be updated without prior notice. Please check the official website for the latest version.
